It is 4:30 here in New York City. More importantly it is 1:30 at the Supernova 2008 conference in San Fransisco.
We are getting ready to test new Confabb functionality. It is the Confabb Notes Sharer and it is our version of Osmosoft’s TiddlyWiki.
The reason for this post is to see if you can help us. For the next 60 min, until 5:30 pm est (2:30 pm pst) we would like to get EVERYONE to help test it.
Here is how you can help…
1. sign into confabb (or register if you don’t already have an account: don’t forget to confirm via email)
2. navigate to Supernova (under featured conferences on homepage) and go to Notes tab
3. download the note-sharer
4. it’ll pull in the agenda off confabb and click ok on the warnings. This will download the file to your desktop.
5. Open the file and pick a session on day 3 and enter some notes (doesn’t matter what they are)
6. let us know what you think — jon [at] confabb.com
THANKS!!!
PS we know that there’s a known bug with session timings…
see below for more details on how to use the Confabb Notes Sharer (beta)
The Confabb Note Sharer tool is a document which sits on your desktop and runs in your browser. When you download this document, and open it for the first time, it’ll import a local copy of the agenda, as well as notes already shared by other people at the event! You can write notes on your local document, and these will be shared with your fellow attendees. And everything will be saved and synced automatically.
You may find when you run the Confabb Note Sharer for the first time, warning messages appear - don’t worry, this is normal! You’ll need to grant permission for the document to save changes locally, and then you’re ready to go.

Note: Save the file to your desktop, and open it from there.
